Description: The Britax Frontier Combination Car Seat can be used forward-facing with a 5-point harness and a weight capacity of up to 80 pounds. Afterwards, it transitions into a traditional booster seat, using the vehicle's seat belts, for children up to 100 pounds. The Britax Frontier features True Impact Protection and EPS impact foam lining in the headrest and body for superior impact protection.
Why we like it: In keeping with Britax's reputation for outstanding safety and ease of use, the Frontier Combination Car Seat offers a tangle-free, 5-point harness with eight harness
heights and three buckle positions for a snug and secure fit. The harness can be easily adjusted using only one hand. This car seat features dual cup holders, armrests, and comfort foam: everything your little one needs to ride comfortably safe. The Britax Frontier Combination Car Seat is also certified for air travel and is available in a variety of colors.
Things we wish were different: Our biggest caveat with the Britax Frontier Combination Car Seat is its installation. Many parents have difficulty getting the LATCH system in the Frontier to work properly in their cars. The LATCH buckles are different than the Britax Marathon or Roundabout models and may cause some confusion. These differences are addressed in the Frontier's owner manual to explain proper installation for the safest fit.
